Stadium capacity for 72,000 fans. World famous stadium that came to symbolize the World Cup events in 2022.

Al Bayt Stadium is located in Al Khor, a seaside city in the north of Qatar, approximately 40 km from the capital Doha. The project consists of several buildings namely, the Main Stadium covered in PTFE fabric representing the form of a giant tent which represents “bayt al sha’ar”, Energy Center, Auxiliary Buildings. The Stadium is surrounded by soft and hard landscaped areas, water features and parkland areas which integrates the Precinct within the Al Khor community and beyond. The Precinct will post games be a center for future major functions with exhibition areas and multi- function halls.

The Stadium hosted the Opening Ceremony and match, group stage matches and the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup QatarTM.

During the tournament, the Stadium will have a gross and net capacity of 72,000. However, after the tournament, the gross capacity will be reduced to 32,000, with dismantling of upper tiers constructed in steel which are to be donated to developing countries to encourage sports elsewhere as part of Qatar’s Legacy. The Skybox level will be turned into a five-star hotel while a shopping center, food court, gym and multipurpose hall will be incorporated into the stadium building.

KEO was appointed as the CM, delivery construction management and supervision services including commissioning services.
