Chedi Hotel, Wadi Safar

Location: Wadi Safar is situated in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia. This valley, known for its natural landscapes, is located west of Wadi Hanifah and close to the UNESCO heritage site of At-Turaif. Wadi Hanifah has been a significant influence on Riyadh’s urban development due to its geographic features.

Diriyah Gate Development. Diriyah Gate is a cultural heritage project that covers over 100 square kilometers, with At-Turaif as its central point. The development is designed in the Najdi architectural style, reflecting local culture and design. Once completed, Diriyah Gate aims to be a destination that showcases the Kingdom’s history and culture with premier destinations for world-class cultural and lifestyle experiences.

About Chedi Wadi Safar: Chedi Wadi Safar, located within the Diriyah Gate Development, is planned as an ultra-luxury hotel with 80 rooms and 20 branded residences. The hotel will feature two restaurants and a unique spa.

Design Vision: The design of Chedi Wadi
Safar will be contemporary, drawing from local nuances and Asian design principles and staying true to Najdi architectural style. The core experience will emphasize serenity, using neutral colors. The hotel’s design aims to provide guests with an immersive experience in the landscapes of Wadi Safar and Arabian hospitality.

KEO’s Contribution: KEO has been commissioned as the Lead Design Consultant and will provide:
• MEP and structural engineering design.
• Architecture/landscape/ID and specialist lighting post Schematic Design.
• Site Infrastructure Design: including traffic planning and waste management.
• Sustainability initiatives: targeting LEED BD+C Gold, Mostadam Gold, and SITES Gold Certifications.
