College of Medicine & Health Sciences

Qatar University

Doha, Qatar

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences Building were designed to complement the existing College of Pharmacy.

The two new Colleges will be formed within the same building which will be built on the site of the Qatar University (QU) Health Cluster, located near the College of Pharmacy.

The design of the two new facilities takes the existing College of Pharmacy program into consideration along with several potential future academic courses including Nursing, Dentistry, Midwifery and Post Graduate Programs for Professional Development.

The intent was to apply a holistic view to the QU Health Cluster so that the site and building designs create collaborative opportunities for the students, researchers, faculty, and administrative staff alike.

The total size of the new facility is approximately 36,200 sqm of gross program area that includes 5,427 sqm for underground car parking and key back of house (BOH) and MEP spaces. The building is designed to be contextual within the overall campus aesthetics and to align with the external design of the adjacent College
of Pharmacy to allow the two buildings to be in harmony.
