KEO was commissioned by GUST to provide complete architectural design and project construction management services, as well as complete construction supervision. The Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST) campus is located in the prime residential area of Mishrif, and is one of the premier private Universities in Kuwait, providing the most up-to-date facilities and environment for active learning, with a special emphasis on science and technology. The campus is situated on 100,000 sq. m of a 150,000 sq. m site.
GUST’s new buildings give a strong and positive impression in terms of image, functionality, accessibility and appearance. The architecture uses modern technology to reinforce the contributions made by the Arab and Islamic world.
The university library, learning resources and administration functions are housed in a circular building, whilst the
six classroom wings are attached to the concourse at all three levels.
To the right of the concourse is a health and fitness center and to the left the conference center. An open amphitheatre provides a dramatic setting for theatrical and other performances while open sports facilities include a football field and tennis courts. The three storey concourse runs north- south and east-west, and is accessed from the two parking areas and central VIP entrance. It provides covered access to all academic and social activities.
